Lions Among Us: Mountain Lions in Sonoma County, 6 PM to 8 PM, October 9th
Join speaker Dr. Quinton Martins, big cat researcher and the director of Living with Lions, Audubon Canyon Ranch’s mountain lion research and education program (https://www.egret.org/living-with-lions) for an evening of learning.
While Mountain Lions are reclusive and majestic members of our community they are also an important part of the ecosystem. This seminar with cover the basics about Mountain Lions; where they live, their life cycle, their behavior and how they interact with the humans of Sonoma County.
Dr. Martins will also cover the research being done at ACR and how humans can learn to live in harmony with them as well as the importance of education to prevent these beautiful predators from being misunderstood and minimize their conflict with us.
