A great opportunity to join naturalist Laura Morgan for an cultural and botanical educational hike!
Meet Laura on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 9AM on Freezeout Road, at the Willow Creek/Islands in the Sky loop entrance (with parking on the street before the private road sign).
This is for the experienced hiker! The entire loop is 6 miles long, with the option to turn back early for a 3.5 mile loop instead. This hike will be hilly compared to the coastal hike–ascending to Islands in the Sky ridge and back (approximately 900′ of gradual elevation gain). About half of the up- and down-hill portions of the hike are rocky and muddy. Participants may want to bring walking poles and footwear with good tread for better footing.
Join us for this beautiful hike with breathtaking scenery!
