Symbiotic Relationships: An Exploration of Our Connection with Nature

WHEN:

Sunday, June 23, 2019

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

WHERE:

Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods
17000 Armstrong Woods Rd
Guerneville, CA 95446

This workshop aims to create a safe space for individuals to both return to and further explore their biological, psychological and inherently intrinsic connection to the natural world. Through cultivating relationship with ourselves and the land by holding space outdoors in a community setting, sharing practices and conducting exercises from an eco-psychological approach, and learning about the ways the natural world communicates through the underground mycelial ‘neural network’ of the planet, we hope to deepen the understanding, awareness and embodiment of the innate interconnectedness of humanity and the natural world on a mental, emotional and somatic level. The workshop meets at the front of the park at the Armstrong Redwoods Visitor’s Center, parking in the front lot is free.

Please note that you should bring the following items: water and snacks, notepad and pen, and something to sit on (blanket/camp chair).

Speakers:

Shannon Rogge, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified CA Naturalist

Taylor Bright, Fungal Researcher & Medicine Maker, Local Artist and Certified CA Naturalist
