Bring your class to a Armstrong Redwoods SNR and provide your students with an exceptional opportunity for learning! Stewards Redwood Ecology Program offers students a chance to walk among the redwood giants and learn about the grove's complex web of life, while seeing a wide variety of flora and sometimes fauna. This program is suited for all grade levels.
Docent-led experiences are generally only available for groups of 60 students or less.
It is advisable to make your reservations are the beginning of the school year as we fill up during the months of April and May.
Please be advised that buses may drop off students at the entrance to Armstrong Redwoods and then park in the town of Guerneville until it's time to pick up the students. Directions are available on our School Group Forms page.
Additionally because demand is high for programs, scheduling can take up to two weeks, reservations are best made two to three weeks prior to the date desired.
Due to concerns over COVID-19 all field trips to Sonoma-Mendocino Coast District State Parks are cancelled through June 1st of 2020. At this time we are not taking any NEW reservations for groups prior to July 1st, 2020. If you have a pre-existing reservation that was cancelled due to COVID-19 closures and cancellations we are happy to work with you to reschedule you for the earliest available date, and we will contact you once we are able to re-open.
