Due to the Walbridge Fire that went through Armstrong Redwoods on August 17, 2020, the park is closed until sometime in 2021. We may be able to provide redwood ecology programs for small groups with Covid-19 precautions in place at Pomo Canyon Campground on the Sonoma Coast.
Bring your class to a Armstrong Redwoods SNR and provide your students with an exceptional opportunity for learning! Stewards Redwood Ecology Program offers students a chance to walk among the redwood giants and learn about the grove's complex web of life, while seeing a wide variety of flora and sometimes fauna. This program is suited for all grade levels.
Docent-led experiences are generally only available for groups of 60 students or less.
It is advisable to make your reservations are the beginning of the school year as we fill up during the months of April and May.
Please be advised that buses may drop off students at the entrance to Armstrong Redwoods and then park in the town of Guerneville until it's time to pick up the students. Directions are available on our School Group Forms page.
Additionally because demand is high for programs, scheduling can take up to two weeks, reservations are best made two to three weeks prior to the date desired.
Due to concerns over COVID-19 all field trips to Sonoma-Mendocino Coast District State Parks are cancelled. At this time we are only taking NEW reservations for small learning groups with Covid-19 precautions in place. Please contact the Executive Director Michele Luna firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
