BRITTANY KELLEY
Brittany was appointed as a board member in the fall of 2016. She is an avid lover of nature and third generation West County resident. She recently moved back home after living all over the world and experiencing places where natural resources and access to parks have been severely limited and damaged by overuse and lack thereof. In 2009, she was living in Texas (where there is a dearth of public lands) and despairingly witnessed the temporary closure of local CA State Parks due to budget shortages. In that moment she vowed to support the park systems and Stewards efforts to maintain the parks where she grew up and get involved if she ever moved back to CA. In 2013, she moved to the East Bay and became a volunteer in the Seal Watch program and has been volunteering for Stewards ever since. She believes passionately in preserving and stewarding our Regional, State and National parks, as well as National Monuments, Wilderness lands and Marine Protected Areas so that they can be there for generations to come. Her background is in the arts and social work and currently works as a child and family therapist intern at Child Parent Institute in Rohnert Park.
