Austin Creek Stewardship Volunteers

Stewards began operating Austin Creek SRA in August 2012. Volunteers help our field operations staff provide both education and stewardship programs in this park.

Volunteers patrol the backcountry as hikers, equestrians and sometimes on bicycle. Stewardship crews assist with trail projects, tree trimming, brush clearing, and campground improvements. Docents provide interpretive hikes on the 20 miles of trails that make up the magnificent backcountry of this park.

New volunteers are required to attend a one-time general orientation.
