Volunteer Training

Why volunteer?

Help educate and connect visitors to their parks! In addition to serving in beautiful Western Sonoma County, volunteers who submit:

  • at least 16 hours receive a free Day Use Pass for all State Parks in the Sonoma-Mendocino Coast District
  • at least 200 hours receive a free Day Use Pass for all California State Parks

Volunteer requirements and training

 New volunteers are required to attend one General Orientation. If you miss the date of the orientation, you can still volunteer with us - just be sure to attend an orientation at some point in the future. 


Throughout the year, Stewards offers trainings for most of our volunteer programs, as well as informative and engaging seminars. See the links for more information about our program trainings, community education seminars, and General Orientation:
