Day of the Child

Family. Nature. Fun.

Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is pleased to join the Sonoma Environmental Education Collaborative for another year of hosting and celebrating Día del Niño / Day of the Child!

Stewards will be using this opportunity to incorporate last year's Family Day In Your State Park activities to create one super outreach event in Armstrong Redwoods.

Along with 11 other environmental education sites in Sonoma County, Stewards will offer a wide variety of FREE activities for children and adults to engage with the outdoors. Activities will include nature crafts, Steward Ship exploration, family nature walks, horse & carriage rides, and so much more!

Music & Entertainment

The Natural Wonders are a trio of local and professional musicians featuring the amazing Bobzilla (Bobby Vega) on bass, Dionysis the fearsome (Denny the Greek) on guitar and ukulele, and the Magnificent Mother Nature,( Elizabeth Vega) on vocals and ukulele. Special guests are often featured in their friendly presentation of Americana Folk Music with an Environmental theme. Not unlike the Banana Slug String Band, their music inspires and informs as they toe tap their musical way through the "Forest to the Sea."

Parking

There will be designated parking near the park entrance and a shuttle for those in need. It is a 3/4 mile walk to the picnic area. You can also park in the picnic area for the normal day-use parking fee of $8 per vehicle.

Servicio de Transporte sera Disponible en la entrada del Parque  •   Se aplica cuota de estacionamiento para entrar el Parque con su Vehiculo
